Guitar Lesson Book

First time guitar players often don’t know where to begin.  The idea of shredding up and down the neck of a guitar at break neck pace while jumping around a stage or singing a song seems nearly impossible.  Players will often start to search for a guitar lesson book to learn the best methods for playing the guitar.  Nowadays that doesn’t even require a trip to the video store.  You can find more than your fair share of information online including some really great video courses.

In the video below pay special attention to the artist’s hands on the neck of his guitar.  He goes into detail on finger position and the reason it is so important.  Starting with your fingers in the wrong areas of the neck means reduced speed.  If you are concentrating on where your fingers are its difficult to keep rhythm at the same time.
